Our Approach

I started my healthcare career at 16 years old working as a Pharmacy technician in my hometown of Racine, WI. After learning about medications and how they affect us or interact within the body, I went on to work in Neurology at Barrows in St. Joseph's Hospital in Downtown Phoenix. I wanted to learn massage therapy after seeing how the therapy was used in the hospital. I wanted to help people stay mobile. I then went on to school and graduated from The Scottsdale Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy.

I quickly learned I had a passion for helping active people feel their best. I have been working with athletes, weekend warriors and chronic pain patients to help them feel less pain or discomfort regardless if it was temporary or chronic. So Color Me Calm was created. My goal with Color Me Calm, is to work with individuals who are passionate about their health and wellness. 

I am experienced in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Lymphatic Drainage, and Cupping. Every patient will require a different approach and for every new patient I will spend the first part of the session learning about your goals and your medical history. With every massage session, my goal is to educate my patients on how to maintain mobility and eliminate muscle tension. Massage therapy is a great tool to not only help you recover but to stay healthy and active. I feel confident that  the skills I have will be able to help you feel better to continue, in your wellness journey.

My name is Andrea Dufresne. I moved to Arizona in 1998 from Vermont, looking for a fresh new start. I'm happily married with two boys. I've been a licensed massage therapist for 23 years now.

In my free time I like to enjoy the outdoors, reading and listening to music.  Over the years I've learned a plethora of modalities to help my clients get on a path to feeling their best. I have a passion to help others heal and be the best version of themselves. I take an intuitive approach to help the body as a whole. My ideal client to work on are individuals who suffer from chronic discomfort or just want to relax. I look forward to working with the Color Me Calm community to feel their absolute best!
